Penumbral Lunar Eclipse: August 6, 2009

Geographic Region: Americas, Europe, Africa, western Asia

A shallow penumbral eclipse occurs 15 days after the total solar eclipse on Jul 22. Since its magnitude is only 0.402, it will not be visible to the naked eye.
