Palm Sunday
 |

Palm Sunday is the
Sunday before
Easter. It is the
sixth and last Sunday in
Lent, and the first day
of Holy Week.
Palm Sunday
commemorates the time
when Jesus rode into
Jerusalem on a donkey
and the people waved
palm branches and
cheered him as the
coming King. The Old
Testament prophet
Zechariah had foretold
the arrival of the
Messianic king in
Jerusalem via the humble
conveyance of a colt.
